Joachim S'Paliu is celebrated for his distinctive modernist jewelry, created primarily during the 1960s and 1970s. Born in 1944, he reached his creative peak during this period, producing sculptural sterling silver designs that blur the line between jewelry and wearable art. His bold, organic forms remain highly recognizable and sought after by collectors of modernist jewelry.

A pair of rare Julius Olaf Randahl sterling silver earrings from the mid-century. Randahl is best known for Arts & Crafts-style hollowware, but pieces produced by his workshop in the 1960s and 1970s leaned heavily into the abstract, textural, and brutalist styles popular at the time. These earrings evoke the abstract motif of mountains and a vast landscape, captured on a round silver plate shaped like the full moon. The earrings are also complete with a tight butterfly closure, and the artist's initials stamped on the back.

A rare and unique bracelet from the Victorian era, made of operculum shells mounted on sterling silver.
Operculum shells are hard plates that many sea snails have on their muscular foot that function as trapdoors. These shells are very durable and represent the Victorians’ obsession with natural materials found from animals and insects, such as butterfly wings, beetles, and bird feathers. The hardware on this bracelet has been acid tested as sterling silver. The bracelet is in overall good condition with no major flaws, but as with any antique piece, there are natural signs of wear. Length: 8 inches at maximum, but adjustable and can be worn two different ways. The bracelet has two clasps that can be attached to each other or cross-attached to the two other jump rings to shorten the bracelet.

A sterling silver modernist ring with a round amethyst stone by renowned Danish artist M. P. Christoffersen. Made in the mid-century, this ring was carefully crafted, with the protruding amethyst stone securely set in a beautiful yet firm way, creating an exquisite side profile reminiscent of a mountain with a textured side.
