The locket is in overall great antique condition, but it does have signs of wear consistent with age. It also does not come with a piece of glass inside, though the metal piece typically used to hold the glass down remains intact. The hinge and closure work as they should, and the locket does not fall open. It has been acid tested as sterling front and back, and on the bail. It is otherwise unmarked.
