John L Lauritzen 1930s Denmark Art Nouveau sterling silver brooch

$65.00

A beautiful and delicate sterling silver brooch by renowned Danish artist John L Lauritzen in the 1930s. The brooch features a classic Art Nouveau style with a wreath of leaves and vines. The brooch has a C-clasp and is stamped Denmark on the clasp alongside the artist’s mark.

Size: Approximately 1 3/8 inches in diameter.

Lauritzen was a Danish silversmith and jewelry designer whose work bridged the elegance of Art Nouveau with the clean lines of Modernism. Born in Schleswig, he began designing jewelry in the 1940s before opening his own workshop in Copenhagen in the mid-1950s, where he produced handcrafted sterling silver jewelry until 1981. Best known for his nature-inspired designs, Lauritzen created pieces featuring leaves, flowers, berries, and other organic forms rendered with exceptional detail and craftsmanship.

The brooch is in overall great condition, but there are natural signs of wear on every vintage piece, so please examine all photos and don’t hesitate to ask questions.
